This was the wedding of Ashlie & Alan big day at The Lancashire Manor Hotel in Wigan. I was so lucky to have been able to capture their wedding day for them. It was a stunning day with an Alice in Wonderland theme, yes and Alice in Wonderland Wedding...
The whole wedding day took place at The Lancashire Manor Hotel with bridal pre photos in their Honeymoon suite.
It was the 16th June 2022 and was a hot summer day. Not full blue sky but some nice soft light diffused by some high level clouds.

THE CEREMONY
The wedding ceremony started at 13:00 which went smoothly with some nice words said by Ashlie & AJ. The formalities were completed in around 30 minutes when we headed outside and straight into the big group photo.
Group photos and Confetti photos are always best done straight after the wedding ceremony as everyone is still together before your guests head off to the bar and wonder around the wedding venue etc.
Wedding Photos
The Lancashire Manor Hotel has some lovely areas for group photos and couple photos including a nice wedding gazebo on their grounds. With all weddings there are a lot of family members who perhaps have not seen each other for years if not decades so I always say it is best to take some time to put a list together of any group photos you are wanting to capture. Doing this makes things run smoothly on the day and you and your guests can get back to enjoying your Wedding Day with all your guests.
One thing to remember with group photos is that it is your wedding day and not a photo-shoot so it very important that you enjoy yourself and spend time with your wedding guests. This does not mean that your wedding photographer will stop taking photos, but a good Candid Wedding Photographer will watch and look for good Documentary Style photos. I normally look for where there is good light and watch for those moments to happen.
